Helping Your Child Grow Healthy and Strong

At Panda Bear Pediatrics, we believe regular well-child visits are an important part of keeping children healthy. From newborn care through adolescence, our pediatricians and advanced practice providers focus on preventive healthcare, monitoring growth and development, and helping families address health concerns at every stage of childhood.

Our practice follows the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommended schedule for preventive pediatric care, providing comprehensive examinations, recommended immunizations, developmental screenings, and age-appropriate health guidance.

Well-child visits also give parents an opportunity to ask questions about their child’s nutrition, sleep, behavior, learning, physical activity, and overall health.

What to Expect During a Well-Child Visit

During your child’s visit, our pediatric providers will evaluate growth, development, and overall health. Depending on your child’s age, the visit may include:

  • Growth and Development: Measuring height, weight, and other age-appropriate growth indicators while reviewing physical and developmental milestones.
  • Physical Examination: Evaluating your child’s general health, including the heart, lungs, eyes, ears, and musculoskeletal system.
  • Vision and Hearing: Performing recommended screenings to identify potential concerns.
  • Immunizations: Reviewing and administering recommended childhood vaccinations.
  • Developmental and Behavioral Health: Assessing learning, behavior, emotional well-being, and developmental progress.
  • Preventive Screenings: Providing age-appropriate screening tests and laboratory evaluations when recommended.
  • Parent Guidance: Discussing nutrition, exercise, sleep, safety, school performance, and other health concerns.

These visits provide an opportunity to identify potential health or developmental concerns early and help children receive appropriate care as they grow.
